Yellowfin Tang (Acanthurus xanthopterus) is a bold, fast-swimming showpiece fish with a sleek gray-blue body and bright yellow fins that really pop under reef lighting. They’re active grazers that help keep algae under control, but they need a large tank with lots of swimming space, strong flow, and plenty of rockwork to pick at. Best kept with other fish that can handle their energy, Yellowfin Tangs do great long-term when given a varied diet of nori/seaweed, quality herbivore pellets, and frozen foods for strong color and health.
