Vlamingi Tang - Naso Vamingi
The Vlamingi Tang (Naso vlamingii), also known as the Bignose Unicornfish, is a large and striking reef fish found throughout the Indo-Pacific. Juveniles are often gray to brown, but adults develop bold electric blue markings and a pronounced forehead bump. They can grow up to 24 inches, making them one of the largest tangs in the hobby, and require a very large aquarium with ample swimming space and rockwork for grazing. Generally peaceful, they do well with a variety of tankmates and thrive on a diet rich in algae and vegetable matter, making them both impressive and hardy centerpiece fish for advanced aquarists with the space to house them.
