Vagabond Butterflyfish (Chaetodon vagabundus) are striking reef fish recognized by their silver body covered in dark crisscross lines, a bold black eye band, and yellow highlights on the fins and tail. They are active swimmers commonly found in pairs or small groups across Indo-Pacific reefs, feeding on coral polyps, small invertebrates, and algae. While hardy compared to many butterflyfish, they are not reef safe, as they often nip at corals and sessile invertebrates.
