Achilles Tang

$549.99

The Achilles Tang (Acanthurus achilles) is a striking and highly sought-after marine fish known for its jet-black body, bright orange teardrop marking near the tail, and vivid white and orange highlights along the fins. Growing up to 10 inches, it is native to the Indo-Pacific, especially around Hawaii and Tahiti. This species thrives in large, well-established aquariums with plenty of open swimming space, strong water flow, and live rock for grazing. As an herbivore, it primarily feeds on algae, making it beneficial for natural algae control. While beautiful, the Achilles Tang can be territorial and aggressive toward other tangs, particularly those with a similar shape or coloration.
