Care Requirements:
Lighting: Moderate to high (PAR 100-200). Prefers stable lighting conditions.
Flow: Moderate, indirect flow to prevent tissue damage while keeping the tentacles swaying.
Placement: Middle to lower tank areas with ample space, as it has long, stinging sweeper tentacles.

Temperature: 76-80°F (24-27°C)
Salinity: 1.025 SG (35 PPT)
pH: 8.1-8.4
Alkalinity: 8-12 dKH
Calcium: 400-450 ppm
Magnesium: 1250-1350 ppm
Feeding & Nutrition:
Hammer corals primarily rely on photosynthesis via their symbiotic zooxanthellae algae, but benefit from supplemental feeding 1-2 times per week. Offer meaty foods like mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and coral-specific liquid foods.
Compatibility & Challenges:
Aggressive coral with long sweeper tentacles that can sting nearby corals—place it at a safe distance from others.
Prone to Brown Jelly Disease if exposed to poor water conditions or physical damage.
Fragging is possible but requires caution due to its delicate flesh.
Final Tips:
Maintain stable water parameters, ensure gentle but consistent water flow, and provide occasional feedings to keep your hammer coral healthy and thriving.
