Green Galaxea Frag
Galaxea Coral (Galaxea fascicularis) is a striking LPS coral known for its long, flowing sweeper tentacles and vibrant colors ranging from neon green to golden brown with glowing tips. It grows in a branching or dome-shaped formation, creating a dramatic centerpiece in reef aquariums. Galaxea thrives under moderate to high lighting and moderate water flow, which keeps its tentacles extended and prevents detritus buildup. This coral is very aggressive, capable of extending long stinging tentacles several inches at night, so it should be placed with ample space from neighboring corals. It obtains most of its energy from photosynthesis through its zooxanthellae but will also benefit from occasional feedings of small meaty foods or coral blends. Hardy and fast-growing, Galaxea is best suited for reef keepers who can manage its reach and appreciate its movement and fluorescence under blue lighting.
