You will receive a frag SIMILAR in shape and size to the coral in the photo. This is NOT a WYSIWYG frag. All our frags are generally 3/4” - 1”

Care Requirements:

  • Lighting: Low to moderate (PAR 100-200). Thrives under stable lighting conditions.

  • Flow: Moderate. Prefers gentle, indirect flow to keep its fleshy polyps extended.

  • Placement: Middle to lower areas of the tank, ensuring space for colony growth.

Water Parameters:

  • Temperature: 76-80°F (24-27°C)

  • Salinity: 1.025 SG (35 PPT)

  • pH: 8.1-8.4

  • Alkalinity: 8-12 dKH

  • Calcium: 400-450 ppm

  • Magnesium: 1250-1350 ppm

Feeding & Nutrition:

While photosynthetic, Candy Cane Coral benefits from target feeding 1-2 times per week with mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, or coral-specific foods to enhance growth.

Compatibility & Challenges:

  • Generally peaceful, but needs space to avoid stinging nearby corals.

  • Fragging is easy, making it a great coral for propagation.

  • Fleshy polyps can be damaged by strong flow or aggressive tank mates.

Final Tips:

Provide moderate lighting and flow, maintain stable water conditions, and offer occasional feedings for optimal health. Candy Cane Coral is a resilient, beautiful coral that makes a great addition to any reef aquarium!
