Candy Cane coral (Caulastrea furcata), also known as Trumpet coral, is a hardy LPS coral that forms branching colonies with plump, round polyps resembling candy canes or trumpets. It’s available in bright greens, blues, and sometimes striped or bi-colored morphs that glow under reef lighting. Candy Canes do well in moderate light and flow, are peaceful compared to many other LPS corals, and readily accept target feeding, making them a great choice for both beginner and experienced reef keepers.
