You will receive a frag SIMILAR in shape and size to the coral in the photo. This is NOT a WYSIWYG frag. All our frags are generally 3/4” - 1”

Care Requirements:

  • Lighting: Low to moderate (PAR 50-150). Adaptable, with colors intensifying under moderate lighting.

  • Flow: Moderate to strong. Good water movement prevents debris buildup and encourages polyp extension.

  • Placement: Anywhere in the tank, but provide space as they spread quickly.

Water Parameters:

  • Temperature: 76-80°F (24-27°C)

  • Salinity: 1.025 SG (35 PPT)

  • pH: 8.1-8.4

  • Alkalinity: 8-12 dKH

Feeding & Nutrition:

Mostly photosynthetic, but occasional target feeding with phytoplankton or reef roids can boost growth.

Compatibility & Challenges:

  • Fast-growing and may overtake nearby corals if not managed.

  • Contains palytoxin, a potent toxin—wear gloves when handling.

  • Can trap detritus, so regular maintenance is recommended.

Final Tips:

Provide moderate lighting and strong flow, maintain stable water conditions, and monitor growth to prevent over-colonization. Palythoa corals are a resilient, visually striking addition to any reef tank!
